As we know, Denpasar is the capital city of Bali Province. Denpasar has many interesting destination like Bajra Sandhi Monument, Bali Museum, Art Center and many more. Denpasar also has annual festival, it called Denpasar Festival. Denpasar Festival is the place for Denpasar Society to show their creativity. It has been held since 2008 which initially called Gajah Mada Town Festival.
At first, the passion Denpasar Festival previously called Gajah Mada Town Festival reminds us back to the times of the atmosphere of Gajah Mada Street. The spirit and passion of creative people in Denpasar, inspire municipal government to create and make it be annual Festival. At the 2009, Gajah Mada Town Festival changed into Denpasar Festival. Denpasar Festival was created by The Mayor of Denpasar, Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra.
Every year Denpasar Festival is eagerly awaited by the Denpasar Society. Besides of that, the people outside Denpasar and even domestic and international travelers make regular visits every end the year to Denpasar. Many people interest to be involved directly in the event of Denpasar Festival, and with the limited space available at the location of Gajah Mada, so Denpasar Government made an event which called The Pra Event Denpasar Festifal in 2013. Pre Event Denpasar held in August to November before the Denpasar Festival held. It can accommodate the Denpasar Society enthusiasm to conduct many creative activities.
Denpasar Festival 8th will be held at December, 28th – 31st 2015 in Gajah Mada Street, Veteran Street and in front of Catur Muka Statue (the landmark of Denpasar). Denpasar Festival 8th with the theme “Demi Denpasar” (for the sake of Denpasar) is the right moment for all beings and stakeholders in Denpasar for a further step, treading the corridors of the future. “Demi Denpasar” reiterated full-era contributes to the benefit of Denpasar and the role of reciprocity between society and government for the sake of sustained brilliance and welfare multidimensional of Denpasar. You will see many interesting entertainment like, Balinese Music, Balinese dance and many more. Beside of that, you can try Balinese delicious food like lawar or ayam betutu and see the fashion booth.
