The Yellow Bridge Need Concern from the Stakeholders

If you visit the Nusa Lembongan Island, you will see yellow bridge. The recently built suspension bridge between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan connects the two islands and allows the visitors to easily access each island. This narrow and swinging bridge only allows access on foot, by bicycle or motorcycle and it is unsuitable for cars.

Beside of that many visitors called this bridge with The Love Bridge, because many couple take picture in there and has romantic panorama. But now, the bridge is in damaged condition. The local peoples complain that the bridge has begun porous and sway when passed by the society. In fact, few months ago the bridge that became the mascot of Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan had collapsed.

The Head of Bappeda (Badan Perencanaan dan Pembangunan Daerah) or The Regional Planning and Developing Official Klungkung, I Wayan Wasta claimed have two times to propose improvements Yellow Bridges to receive Assistance Specialty Finance (BKK) from Bali Province and into National Musrembang (Development Planning Meeting). But, his effort was failed because Assistance Specialty Finance (BKK) has 2 big projects. To maintain this bridge will spend 50 billion rupiah because all the part of this bridge was damaged.

In addition to seeking improvements to the district budget or APBD Daerah, Wasta admitted will continue to work and every year will submit a budget that Yellow Bridge also received attention from the Bali Province Government and Republic of Indonesian Government. Beside to connect the 2 islands, this bridge become the famous tourist destination if the stakeholder can maintain the amazing bridge.
